Inspiracją dla projektu jest mail art, kierunek w sztuce wykorzystujący pocztę jako medium; zgodnie z założeniami ruchu Wrocław Mail Art Project 2010 tworzy kooperację ludzi bez względu na ich pochodzenie, wiek czy wykształcenie.
W ramach projektu prowadzona jest akcja Mail Us Art,
działa pracowania mail artowa, odbywają się warsztaty plastyczne, spotkania edukacyjne.
Akcja Mail Us Art trwa od maja do października 2010 roku i polega na wysyłaniu pocztą (tradycyjną i internetową) jakiegokolwiek przykładu własnej twórczości do siedziby Wrocław Mail Art Project 2010 czyli Centrum Kultury "Zamek" we Wrocławiu.
Formę dzieła ogranicza jedynie specyfika przesyłki pocztowej i internetowej.
Wszystkie działania podsumuje wystawa i katalog o nazwie Mail Us Art. W skład ekspozycji wejdą wszystkie prace uczestniczące w akcji Mail Us Art (wysyłane i przysyłane).
Wernisaż odbędzie się 16 października 2010 roku.The project is inspired by the “mail art” – an artistic movement that uses postal system as a medium. According to the guidelines of the mail art, Wroclaw Mail Art Project 2010 creates the cooperative of people regardless of their background, age or education.
The project includes the Mail Us Art
campaign mail art workshop, artistic workshops, educational meetings.
Mail Us Art campaign starts in May 2010 and ends in October 2010 – the participants are to send their own artistic works by snail mail or via e-mail. All forms of art are acceptable. They should be sent to the project headquarters in the Cultural Centre “Zamek” in Wroclaw.
The only limitation is what you can actually send – either way.
All the activities will be described and published in the catalogue and later presented during the exhibition “Mail Us Art”. We intend to present all the works received in the course of the project.
The opening of the exhibition will take place on October 16, 2010.
